BlueGreenery grows seaweed on land in Ostend

Industrial Symbiosis

BlueGreenery grows landbased Dulse (Palmaria palmata) and develops culinary and cosmetic products based on the seaweed. They believe in a local supply chain, a circular future and smart use of energysources.

BlueGreenery has developed an industrial symbiosis with Biostoom, a neighbouring company that turns residual waste into green power. BlueGreenery uses the residual heat from the Biostoom site to warm up their growing facility to a constant temperature.

Furthermore BlueGreenery reuses their operational sea water and implements a return system fo their packaging.
