Ecodesign

Given the significant influence of the design phase on a product’s environmental footprint throughout its lifecycle, ecodesign is a key enabler of the circular economy. It offers designers a lifecycle-oriented approach that aims to minimize environmental impact from the outset. Products and services should be conceived to function effectively within circular systems. This involves rethinking every stage of the lifecycle, from design and material selection to production, distribution, use, and end-of-life recovery ensuring sustainability is embedded throughout.
