The World Ports Sustainability Program (WPSP) has published this first report. Detailing the 120-strong WPSP portfolio of projects from ports around the world to put the UN Sustainable Development Goals in practice, the report also includes a number of global initiatives taken with partner organisations to fulfil the WPSP mission of enhancing and coordinating future sustainability efforts of ports worldwide and fostering international cooperation with partners in the supply chain.
The World Ports Sustainability Program aims to demonstrate global leadership of ports in contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The program wants to empower port community actors worldwide to engage with business, governmental and societal stakeholders in creating sustainable added value for the local communities and wider regions in which their ports are embedded.
